Confluence and the leap from the rational to the absurdDr Divya Chhabra (Mumbai, India)25. - 27. June 2010This seminar from 25 to 27 June 2010 will have some examples of radioactivity, euphorbiaceae, rare gases and other gases, cucurbitacaea, brassicaea, fabaceae and those cases of animal remedy. Divya Chhabra was born in 1967 in Pune, India. She graduated from Chandaben Mohanbhai Patel Homoeopathic Medical College, Mumbai, in 1989 and has been practicing homoeopathy in Mumbai since 1992. She is amember of the Bombay School that was founded by Dr Rajan Sankaran. Her teaching career began ten years ago and she has taught both at home in India and in countries around the world - including Switzerland, Germany, Austria, England, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Greece, Slovakia, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada. Over the years she has conducted many provings of remedies such as Magnesia sulphurica, Thea, Citrus, Lac felinum, Lac rhesus, Tungsten, Lac defloratum, Lac humanum, eagle and bat. She has also made a vital contribution to our knowledge of potencies and how to use them in practice through conducting potency provings of two well-known polychrests, Calcium carbonicum and Natrium muriaticum, from C30 to C50M. This work puts her in an excellent position to say which patient requires which potency in which situation. Divya Chhabra is well-known for her special approach to case taking, called circle theory, in which everything is looped in one single chain to understand the very essence of the case. She places great emphasis on looking beyond the patient’s obvious symptoms and conditions to determine his or her individual core state of being. With the help of a technique called ‘free association’ that she herself developed, she traces the origin of each symptom in a highly skilful way to reach the exact energy of the case and the appropriate remedy. She uses the subconscious states of the patient, which are in part expressed through dreams, to reach the deep-seated core delusion that ultimately manifests into physical and mental symptoms and brings the patient to us. Divya Chhabra’s exceptional strength is her brilliant mind, which lets her penetrate to the very core of a case with the greatest precision. Her ability to analyse different levels of emotions and sensations may seem culturally foreign to us in Germany. Our western culture has schooled us in theoretical analysis and as a result, what we understand by analysis is the deconstruction. Divya Chhabra of a whole into its component parts, thereby departing from thewhole (which is, however, more than just the sum of its parts) and losing it somewhere along the way. Dr Divya Chhabra will teach us the art of emotional analysis. Illustrating her teaching with cases from her practice, Divya Chhabra will show us how she proceeds in extracting the information she requires from the patient. This will give us an insight into key aspects of her working method and make her remedy finding more transparent. Divya herself about her method: Before action, comes thought, before thought, comes emotion, before emotion, comes an experience. The experience is what is happening within. That feeling of discomfort, unease that colours ones being is primary and primordial. It is the disturbance in the vital force. The patterns of thought and emotion emanate from it, like ripples in a pond. While it is possible to get to the source of these ripples through the recognition of patterns, one can lose ones way. Why not bypass mind chatter emotional stories and get to the pure pattern of the source and thus the simillimum! Like a child unconditioned by thoughts lives in a world of pure experience of taste, smell, sound and touch, so also the ‘altered state’ is expressed directly and purely in these areas. Lets not use analysis. Lets taste, smell, touch the simillimum. Confluence and the leap from the rational to the absurd, irrational remain the focal points of discussion. This seminar, will have some examples of radioactivity, euphorbiaceae, rare gases and other gases, cucurbitacaea, brassicaceae, fabaceae and those cases of animal remedies. Divya will choose some cases which are the best examples to explain her method. During the seminar, Divya Chhabra will take time to respond to questions from seminar participants. Her teaching style is interactive and a lively exchange of experience and ideas is expressly desired. Divya Chhabra is currently working on three books, which include one on her provings, a second one on her practical experience with the technique of ‘free association’ and her use of potencies, as well as a final book on her understanding of the materia medica of the periodic table of the elements. Divya Chhabra is interested in classical Indian dance and was wellknown in homoeopathic circles as a classical dancer before training as a homoeopath. Today she lives in Mumbai with her husband, Dr Rajan Sankaran, and their two children.
